Untamed, Wild Wombman

Long before I grasped words like archive, storytelling, or intellectual property, I was learning the value of preserving ordinary moments. My family documented everything. There was always a camera nearby, capturing birthdays, family gatherings, and the beauty of everyday life. Looking back, those photographs became more than memories. They became evidence that stories deserve to be kept.

In 2010, while still in the tenth grade, I began working as a freelance model. What started in front of the camera quickly became an education in branding, visual storytelling, creative direction, and the quiet language of imagery. It taught me to notice how intention shapes perception and how creativity can communicate long before words ever do.

Early Film Experiments

Early threads of making, documenting, learning, and storytelling.

My creative education began long before I had language for it. I took home economics in seventh and twelfth grade, learning early sewing and fashion skills. In high school, I worked as a library assistant while also serving as a team manager for the girls' basketball and volleyball teams, traveling with them and documenting their seasons through film. Between books, fabric, and moving images, I was already exploring the things that would continue to shape my work: making, documenting, learning, and storytelling.

The Art of Remembering

Today, I continue to carry this thread forward. I still bring Polaroids, digital, and disposable cameras to family gatherings, documenting moments as they unfold and preserving memory in real time.

This photograph of my Sun feels like a full circle moment to me. At one years old, he was already holding a Fujifilm disposable camera. I grew up surrounded by people who documented our lives. Now I find myself passing that practice forward. What began as the way my family preserved memories became part of how I interpret legacy.
